TURBINE STEAM CONDENSERS
This is a special heat-exchanger, mostly shell and tube with fixed tube sheets. Its shape is round (for smaller turbines) or box (for large ones). There is a steam attemporation and air suction area inside the specially formed tube bundle (bundles). Condensate tank is placed in the shell lower part, while the throat connecting condenser with turbine is placed in the upper part. Tube side of condenser has usually got cooling water channels with removable cover plates. This equipment is used in power industry.
